Personal History:
The Ashby family was definitely a different sort. All were happy, optimistic, joyful sorts that one might swear could never have a bad day, not even if they tried. So, this being the case, Cordelia was raised in the happiest environment ever. It's evident in the very way she operates, even, and the smile on her face is a constant sign of this reality. Cordelia is an only child, daughter of an assistant shop keeper at Quality Quidditch and the receptionist at the Ministry. She has had a very un-extraordinary life, going day to day without anything really drastic or dramatic happening at all. One might say she's a pretty ordinary girl, except for all of that unending joy and all.
Personality:
Sweet, soft, gentle. She's the type that would easily give up everything to help out one person. At the same time, she's quirky, funny, loves to make people laugh. In the end, everything about her boils down to other people. Sometimes she's brave - but only if it's what someone else needs to be happy or safe. Sometimes, she says really smart things.. but mostly just to make the kind of people only charmed by witty humour happy. She wants to save the world, but not because she wants adventure or because she knows it's best. She wants to do it so that no one else will have to.

She's the slightest bit thick when it comes to size, and keeps her blonde hair rather short. Her eyes are chocolate brown, and she's on the very short side. 5 foot and some mini-mili-tiny-meters tall, actually. All of her clothes are proof of her unpriveledged upbringing.. she wears things that are possibly hand-me-downs from Ashbies that got them as hand-me-downs themselves.

She held a thumb up in the air as her eyes narrowed somewhat. The canvas on her lap shifted-- oh, better catch that before it falls! With a smile, she quickly moved it back to exactly where she wanted it, then returned to sizing out the scene around her. It was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen, and was likely to be the prettiest thing she had ever painted. Billowing crimson, splashes of gold mixed in with the darkest blacks.. it was near-breathtaking, really. She smiled once again, then brought her charcoal down to the smooth white canvas. It was time.
Unfortunately, while the picture was ready to be sketched, this nagging pull at her elbow distracted her. Really, all she wanted to do was get started on the picture, and here was McGona--
Oh, right.
Despite the horrid temptation, she was sure that the professor had a point. Mid-Quidditch match was not the best time for the announcer to take a break to draw, afterall.
